Ovarian Cancer Research 2020: A Promising Future

Ovarian cancer researchers will be converging in Ottawa to foster collaborations and improved understanding of this complex disease. Ovarian Cancer Canada is taking this opportunity to create a day of programming for those diagnosed with ovarian cancer and their loved ones to hear updates on research and share with others affected by ovarian cancer.

Highlights include:

  • Researchers attending the conference will provide updates on what’s new and emerging in the world of ovarian cancer treatments.
  • Opportunity to explore simple ways to sustain yourself in the practical, emotional, spiritual and psychological challenges of daily life with an ovarian cancer diagnosis.
  • Time to meet informally with others personally impacted by an ovarian cancer diagnosis.

Please note the following information:

  • Included in this program is Lunch and informal Meet & Greet from 4pm to 6pm
  • When you register, please select if you would like to participate in the English or the French Survivorship program (Lunch and Meet & Greet will bring both groups together).
  • You can choose to buy a ticket to the SUnday Dinner which is part of the formal CCOCR Conference Program. Tickets are $95 each and are not formally part of the Survivorship Workshop program.
  • In teh past, survivors have expressed interest in attending the main research conference. It should be clarified that the conference is targeted to the scientific, clinical and research community and therefore the information is no easily accessible to a general audience. If you have a background in science and research and want to attend the conference, you will find that option in the Registration page.

Recherche sur le cancer de l’ovaire 2020 : un avenir prometteur

Des chercheurs du domaine du cancer de l’ovaire se réuniront à Ottawa pour favoriser la collaboration et une meilleure compréhension de cette maladie complexe. Cancer de l’ovaire Canada profite de l’occasion pour offrir un programme d’une journée permettant aux femmes ayant reçu un diagnostic de cancer de l’ovaire et à leurs proches de découvrir les dernières nouvelles de la recherche et de partager avec d’autres personnes touchées par le cancer de l’ovaire.

Faits saillants de la journée :

  • Les chercheurs qui participent à la conférence présenteront les nouveautés et les solutions émergentes en matière de traitement du cancer de l’ovaire.
  • Vous aurez l’occasion de découvrir des façons simples de relever les défis pratiques, émotifs, spirituels et psychologiques de la vie après un diagnostic de cancer de l’ovaire.
  • Vous aurez le temps de rencontrer d’autres personnes touchées par un diagnostic de cancer de l’ovaire dans un cadre informel.

Veuillez noter ce qui suit:

  • Le programme comprend le dîner et une séance de réseautage informelle, de 16 h à 18 h.
  • Au moment de vous inscrire, veuillez indiquer si vous souhaitez participer à l’atelier pour les survivantes en français ou en anglais (les deux groupes seront réunis pour le dîner et la séance de réseautage).
  • Vous pouvez acheter un billet pour le souper du dimanche, qui fait partie du programme officiel de la Conférence canadienne de recherche sur le cancer de l’ovaire. Les billets coûtent 95 $ chacun, et ne sont pas inclus dans l’atelier pour les survivantes.
  • Par le passé, des survivantes ont exprimé leur intérêt à assister à la conférence de recherche principale. Nous tenons à préciser que la conférence s’adresse à la communauté scientifique, clinique et de recherche, et que l’information pourrait être difficile à comprendre par le public en général. Si vous avez des antécédents en science ou en recherche et que vous désirez assister à la conférence, vous trouverez cette option sur la page d’inscription.
