On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we welcome you to the 10th Canadian Conference on Ovarian Cancer Research. The first of these conferences took place in Ottawa in 2002 and they have been held biennially ever since. Our community has held itself together through a cancelled meeting in 2020, and a virtual meeting in 2021, and we are very excited to have the opportunity to re-connect in person and properly celebrate the 10th edition back in Ottawa from May 27-29, 2022.
CCOCR 2022 will respect its rich history of rigorous scientific programs and expand the networking that happened during the virtual event, all while building on new opportunities to re-capture the excitement of meeting in person. Consider this the bridge that will unite the best parts from our past and launch us into an even more exciting future.
Open to worldwide participants, this conference will be appealing to the entire spectrum of ovarian cancer researchers, those with interests in discovery-based, translational, clinical and population-level research. CCOCR 2022 will also include unique opportunities for trainees to interact and learn the basics of this disease as well as a survivorship workshop supported by Ovarian Cancer Canada that will provide a unique learning opportunity and supportive environment for survivors, family members, friends and caregivers.
Ottawa is the capital of Canada, a hub for culture and history, and home to seven national museums. The Westin Hotel is located on the Rideau Canal in the heart of downtown with views of Parliament Hill and just steps away from the rollicking ByWard Market, a public market for local farmers and artisans by day, and a plethora of restaurants and night-life every evening.
We hope you and your colleagues will join us for this exciting conference!
