Dr. Nicole Urban Sc.D, MS Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research CenterUniversity of Washington
Dr. Urban is Member of the Translational Research Program in the Public Health Sciences Division at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (FHCRC) and Research Professor of Health Services in the School of Public Health at the University of Washington (UW). She serves as Co-Program Head of the Women’s Cancer Research Program of the FHCRC/UW Cancer Consortium. Since 2005 she has served on the Canary Foundation Science Team, which is particularly focused on biomarker research that will lead to the development of tests for the early detection of cancer. She is the Principal Investigator of an R21 entitled “Validation of a risk assessment decision rule for epithelial ovarian cancer” and a P50 National Cancer Institute Specialized Program of Research Excellence (SPORE) entitled the “Pacific Ovarian Cancer Research Consortium” now in its 15th year of funding.
