10th CCOCR postponed due to COVID-19
On behalf of the Local Organizing Committee, we welcome you to the 10th biennial Canadian Conference on Ovarian Cancer Research. The first of these conferences took place in Ottawa in 2002, and we are very pleased to celebrate this 10th event back in Ottawa from June 13-15, 2020.
As with previous conferences, CCOCR 2020 will have a rigorous scientific program that will be appealing to the entire spectrum of ovarian cancer researchers, those with interests in discovery-based, translational, clinical and population-level research. Open to worldwide participants, the program will celebrate the recent advances, explore the current scientific challenges and consider the merits of emerging therapies.
To help celebrate this 10th CCOCR conference, a joint day of exciting talks on the New Frontiers of Ovarian Cancer Treatment has been planned with the Society of Gynecologic Oncology of Canada, who celebrate the 40th anniversary of their Annual General Meeting (June 12-13, 2020).
In addition to a full scientific program of research symposia and poster sessions, CCOCR 2020 will include unique opportunities for young researchers to interact and learn the basics of this disease from faculty experts across Canada. A survivorship workshop supported by Ovarian Cancer Canada takes place concurrently with the second day of the conference, providing a unique learning opportunity and supportive environment for survivors, family members, friends and caregivers.
Ottawa is the capital of Canada, a hub for culture and history, and home to seven national museums. The Westin Hotel is located on the Rideau Canal in the heart of downtown with views of Parliament Hill and just steps away from the rollicking ByWard Market, a public market for local farmers and artisans by day, and a plethora of restaurants and night-life every evening.
CCOCR 2020 promises to bring together the best minds in ovarian cancer research and to provide an outstanding educational and networking experience. We hope you and your colleagues will join us for this exciting conference!
